Lots of us are likely to know this poem Leisure by WH Davies… particularly that line “What is this life if, full of care, / We have no time to stand and stare…”. What I hadn’t known was about his life, where he was a known ‘hobo’ or ‘tramp’? I’m not entirely comfortable with either term but you can read more on the Wikipedia entry here.
Enjoy today’s reading from the Red Shed and thanks to Anne for the idea to read this poem. Do you want something special? Let me know on Twitter or Insta…
